AAJA Agency Commission: Rates, Calculation & Sub-Agent Earnings

How AAJA calculates an agent’s weekly commission, from the six classes to the sub-agent bonus, with worked numbers for each step.

What counts as host income

The policy says agent commission comes from the hosts’ income from paid calls, gifts and text chat. “Hosts” means every host bound to your agency through your invitation code. Their income for the week is added together, and that total decides your commission.

The six commission classes

AAJA agent commission ratio
ClassWeekly host incomeRatio
A≥ $30015%
B≥ $60018%
C≥ $1,00020%
D≥ $2,00025%
E≥ $5,00035%
F≥ $10,00040%

Your class is set again every week. A strong week can put you in class D, and a quieter week the next can put you back in class B.

The formula

Hosts’ total weekly income × your class’s ratio = host commission

The policy applies one ratio to the whole total. It isn’t a slab system where only the dollars above $600 earn 18%. Once your hosts reach $600, the entire week earns 18%.

Worked examples

Weekly host incomeCalculationCommission
$450$450 × 15% (A)$67.50
$800$800 × 18% (B)$144
$1,200$1,200 × 20% (C)$240
$2,500$2,500 × 25% (D)$625
$7,000$7,000 × 35% (E)$2,450
$10,000$10,000 × 40% (F)$4,000

Why thresholds matter

Because the ratio applies to the whole week, being just below a threshold costs more than it looks:

  • $1,990 in class C earns $398. $2,000 in class D earns $500, which is $102 more for $10 of extra host income.
  • $4,950 in class D earns $1,237.50. $5,000 in class E earns $1,750.

If your hosts are close to a threshold late in the week, encouraging them to work the 9 pm–2 am IST rush hour can make a real difference. The host weekly bonus rewards the same hours.

Weeks under $300

The class table starts at $300, but the policy’s own example reads: “last week all the income of the hosts is $100, $100 × 10% = $10, then $10 is your commission.” The policy doesn’t say whether 10% is the rate below $300 or just an illustration. Confirm with your AAJA manager before relying on it.

Sub-agent commission

If you invite other people to become agents (your sub-agents), you can earn a second commission on top of your host commission:

  1. Threshold: each sub-agent must earn at least $10 commission in the week. Otherwise you get nothing from that sub-agent that week.
  2. Formula: your sub-agent’s weekly commission × 10% = your sub-agent commission.

The policy’s example: a sub-agent earned $500 in commission this week, so your sub-agent commission is $500 × 10% = $50.

The policy prints the threshold as “2$10”, which we read as $10.

When commission is counted and paid

  • Counted at 24:00 on Sunday, UTC+8, which is 9:30 pm Sunday in IST. Host income after that time counts toward the next week.
  • Last week’s commission is sent to your app wallet every Monday.
  • You can withdraw at any time. Requests are reviewed within 3 working days and paid by bank transfer. Holidays may cause delays, and agents are notified in advance.

Earnings, commissions, bonuses, and eligibility depend on the applicable AAJA policy and individual activity. Figures shown are based on the recruiting-policy information provided and do not represent guaranteed income.
